Hilaria "Larrie" Siepker, age 93, of Pocahontas, and formerly of Fonda and Varina, died Friday, Nov. 26, 2010 at her home.
Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010 at the Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Fonda. Burial was in the Mount Zion Catholic Cemetery in Fonda. The Mahaney Funeral Home in Fonda was in charge of the arrangements.
Hilaria Krogman was born on Oct. 8, 1917, in Halbur, the daughter of August and Helen (Heinrichs) Krogman. She received her education from Halbur Schools.
On Feb. 8, 1938, Hilaria was united in marriage to Nicholas Siepker in Halbur. This union was blessed with six children: Leonard, David, Daniel, Donald, Gary, and Rosemary.
Over the years, Larrie took pride in making a warm and comfortable home for her family. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, as well as St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Varina and Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Fonda. Larrie enjoyed singing in the choir and playing cards. She loved working and took great pride in her job of 17 years, at the Newell Good Samaritan Center.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children: David (Caryl) Siepker of Idaho Falls, Id.; Donald (Karol) Siepker of Albert City; Gary (Carol) Siepker of Albert City; Rosemary (Greg) Miller of Honor, Mich.; daughter-in-law, Judy Siepker (wife of the late Leonard Siepker) of Marion; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; extended family and friends.
Larrie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nicholas Siepker; two sons, Daniel and Leonard Siepker; one brother; and two sisters.
