Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 8, 2010 at Grace Lutheran Church in Storm Lake. Burial was in the Newell Cemetery. The Sliefert Funeral Home in Storm Lake was in charge of the arrangements.
Pauline Marie Grice, the daughter of Jerry and Lucy (Rouse) Grice, was born on Oct. 13, 1922, at Curlew. She lived her youth and received her education in the Curlew and Ayrshire area.
The majority of Pauline's lifetime has been spent in the Storm Lake area. For several years, Pauline was employed as a nurse's aide at the Methodist Manor and she had also worked at Vilas' Processing in Storm Lake. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church of Storm Lake. Pauline will be remembered for the enjoyment she received from sewing, baking, social dancing, and spending time with her friends and family. Most recently, Pauline had resided at the Methodist Manor Retirement Community.
Pauline's memory will be honored and cherished by her family which include her son: Gary Roberts and his wife, Sue, of Sioux City; her daughter: Norma Jean (Beckfield) Veenhuis and her husband, Gary, of Albertville, Minn.; 7 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and many other caring relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands: Walter Beckfield, Evert Roberts, and Caroll Sansen; her son: Jerry Beckfield; brothers: Glenn and Wallace Grice; sisters: Ruth Tyge, Izora (Dolly) Haggert, Alva Carlson-Ehlers, and Lucille Vanderhoff.
