Women in the Outdoors Event to be held Sept. 11

Women, are you interested in learning new outdoor activities in a supportive environment? A full slate of activities is on tap for this year's Women in the Outdoors Event sponsored by the National Turkey Federation and the Lyon, O'Brien and Sioux County Conservation Boards.

Participants can take part in activities such as Dutch Oven Cooking, Bee Keeping, Fly Fishing, Archery and Touring the Blood Run historical site.

The Women in the Outdoors Event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 11 at Lake Pahoja, near Larchwood. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and the day will conclude at 4:30 p.m.

The $40 registration fee includes a National Turkey Federation membership, subscription to the Women in the Outdoors magazine, door prizes, the activities for the day and the noon meal.
