Newell-Fonda students now on one campus

Friday, August 27, 2010
The Newell-Fonda students are now on one campus, with the completion of the addition to the Newell building which began a little over a year ago. With the new campus, came the closing of the Fonda building which has served as the middle school for the district for the past many years.

The new school year got underway Friday and everyone is still learning.

"We're working out a few kinks but there isn't anything major," said Superintendent Jeff Dicks.

The flow of breakfast and lunch during the three days at school went "smoother" than anticipated. "We've never run that many kids through and it worked well."

With the addition of the middle school comes an extra approximately 150 students in the building; all of the students are making room for one another as they move about the building.
