Glenn (GW) Sleezer passed away Nov. 1, 2009 in Corvallis, Ore. at the age of 93. He was born April 4, 1916 to William and Leota Sleezer. GW graduated from Aurelia High in 1933 and farmed until joining the military in 1942. His final military assignment took him to Hamilton Air Force Base in California where he was discharged in 1946 as a Staff Sergeant/Lab Tech. He married Frances Wilson in 1942 in Indianapolis, Ind. GW and Frances settled in California where he graduated from Golden Gate College in 1950. GW and Frances had two children before she passed away in 1957. He married Annabelle Frank in 1958. Annabelle passed away in 2002.
GW started a very successful CPA practice, Sleezer and Eckoff, with an office of 25+ employees when he retired. He was very active in his community through the Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club, Presbyterian Church, High 12 Club, and the Masonic Lodge. A highlight of this life was a trip to Russia in 1962 with a group of businessmen. GW and Annabelle moved to Oregon in 2001 to be closer to family. He had a passion for investing and vitamins. He enjoyed playing bridge and later in life was a very popular bridge partner! Although he spent much of his life in California as a CPA, he never lost his connection to farming. He had a wonderful, long and successful life.
He is survived by his son Bill and Lisa Sleezer, grandchildren Lauren Sleezer and Drew Sleezer of Auburn Wash., daughter Barb Sleezer and Matt Misch of Corvallis Ore., brother Dale Sleezer of Aurelia, cousins, nieces and nephews.
