Doris Imerman, age 82, Newell, died March 17, 2010 at the Newell Good Samaritan Center in Newell.
A private graveside memorial service will be held at the Hampton Cemetery on March 30, 2010 at 1 p.m. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
Doris Elizabeth Shull was born April 13, 1927 in Glen Elder, Kansas, the daughter of Jesse and Annetta (Deschler) Shull. She was baptized into the Methodist faith in 1956. Doris attended grade school through 8th grade.
In 1947, Doris was united in marriage to Dick Clark in Mason City, and together they were blessed with three children: Greg, Jeff, and Janine. On May 7, 1965 she later married Lloyd Imerman in Hampton.
Doris enjoyed reading novels, playing Bingo and shopping, especially when she could find a good bargain. Doris loved nature and being able to sit outside. She treasured spending time with her family and will be dearly missed.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Greg (Joannie) Clark, Garnavillo; Jeff (Paula) Clark, Santa Barbara, Calif.; and Janine (Paul) Davis, Lakeside; her grandchildren: Jeremy (Trisha) Clark, Simi Valley, Calif.; Heather Clark Rubin, Dallas, Texas; Ana (Matt) Phillips, Storm Lake; Jacob (Marqeaux) Clark, Sacramanto, Calif.; and Adam Davis, Storm Lake; great-grandchildren: Dillion Rubin; Aiden, Peyton and Natelyn Phillips; extended family and friends.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Annetta; her brothers: Richard, Francis and Lowell Shull; and one sister, Joyce Bosma.
