Opal Irene Knoffloch

Opal Irene Knoffloch, 91, years. Born Dec. 27, 1918 on the farm in Jewell Co. Kan. to Albert and Bertha I. (Loomis) Marietta. She married Edwin E. Knoffloch on Nov. 28, 1936. They had 47 great years together when he died in 1983. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Orren R. and Glenn O. Marietta, two sisters Vera and Lorene Marietta. Opal retired from the WSU Comptrollers Offices. She had previously worked at Boeing during WWII. Friends still called her Rosie the Riveter. Since Edwin died in 1983 she has loved being a full-time Grandmother and "Great Grammer." She is survived by a loving family that she has been very important to and will miss her greatly. Her daughter, Marietta Buller and husband Larry of Newton; Son Orren E. Knoffloch and wife Celia of Storm Lake Iowa; 6 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Services were held at Old Mission Mortuary on Saturday, March 13, 2010.
