RAGBRAI recruiting begins, 19 commitees forming

As Storm Lake prepares to serve as the first host city for RAGBRAI XXXVI on Sunday, July 25, Storm Lake United is beginning work to recruit the army of volunteers necessary to make the event happen.

"This is going to be a great way to promote Storm Lake and all the community has to offer," says Kelli Berg, marketing and activities director of Storm Lake United.

Anyone who is interested in becoming involved with the RAGRAI events and planning committee may email kberg@stormlakeunited.com or call Berg at 732-3780 to be placed on a list of potential volunteers. Within the next month, committees will be organized for the following tasks:

Beverage Garden, Budget, Campgrounds, Communications, Electrical, Entertainment & Special Events, Food & Vendors, Hospitality, Housing, Info Center, Law Enforcement, Medical, Publicity, Public Safety, RIDE RIGHT, Showers, Sanitation & Recycling, Shuttle Service, Volunteers, Web & Social Media.
