Angels watching over Zailin

Heritage Bank of Alta wants Zailin Linke and his family to have an extra special Christmas this year - and your help is needed.

The magnificent Angel Tree sitting in the lobby of the bank is decorated with angel ornaments; you are welcome to select an angel off the tree if you bring a gift for the family.

Zailin is 2 1/2 and has Pointe Glioma, an inoperable brain stem tumor. Zailin and his family - dad AJ, mom, Libbie and sister Allie - have been making many trips to Omaha Children's Hospital for chemo treatment and radiation treatments.

The bank employees have gathered a "wishes" from each member of the family and placed them on cards. You may come in and pick up a card, purchase the gift and bring it wrapped back to the bank and place it under the tree.

All gifts need to be returned to the bank by Dec. 22. Please support this family.

Heritage Bank will hold its holiday open house this Friday with refreshments being served and door prizes given. You are invited to stop in - this would be a good time to check out the Linke wish list.
