Alta music makers

Just as promised, Alta Band Director Katie Lorenzen sported the old Alta High School band unifirm - even the tall hat and plumb - for an entire day at school after the community generously donated $5,638.50 during the first annual "Just Donate" night Oct. 20. Lorenzen vowed to wear the entire uniform if $5,000 was raised through the student door-to-door collections.

The money will go towards funding clinicians, music clinics, music, uniforms, instruments, and the music trip next year.

The Alta Music Boosters, music teachers and the music students thank the community for all of their support.
