Midwest Motorcylce Apparel hosts special holiday events

Midwest Motorcycle Apparel in Alta are doing some special events for the holidays. First of all, with Halloween approaching, they will be open Halloween night for all trick or treaters, young and old (adults, too) to hand out treats and provide a place to warm up, if mother nature chooses to not cooperate.

They have also started a drawing for Christmas time. Here's how it works. When you purchase $25 in merchandise from the store, you will fill out information on a ticket stub; the more you spend the more chances you receive. The stubs will go into a drawing and on Dec. 12 a name will be drawn from the tickets. The winner will receive a gift basket assembled from merchandise in our store.

Also, Donnie Skou, a resident of Marathon and a member of the American Legion Riders from the Storm Lake Chapter of Shaeffer Post 115 American Legion, Storm Lake, has built a beautiful toy box for our store. As the front of the box says, "Toys For Tots", that's what it will be used for. If enough toys are collected the word has gotten out that there will be a special visitor, (big guy, red suit, hangs around with reindeer and elves), on a date to be determined, who will gladly help distribute these toys to area needy children.

This toy box will be accepting donations year round. Cash donations for this effort are also accepted and greatly appreciated. The hours have changed a bit , due to other work schedules:

Monday - Wednesday -5-7 p.m.; Thursday - CLOSED; Friday - 5-9 p.m.; Saturday - Noon-4 p.m.; Sunday - CLOSED
