LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Thanks for supporting the D.A.R.E. program

The Alta Ladies Auxiliary VFW sponsored the pancake breakfast Oct. 11 with all proceeds going to Alta's D.A.R.E. program.

Thanks to the residents of the community and the D.A.R.E. students themselves. It was a success. The generosity of all who contributed foods, time and dollars is very much appreciated. This is truly a community event.

A special appreciation to the Alta Police Department and Gene Suhr, Police Chief of Aurelia, for teaching the program.

See you next year, the second Sunday in October, at the same place.
