Storm Lake United announces two new staff members
Storm Lake United, a leadership organization focused on enhancing the quality of life in the Storm Lake area, hired Kelli Berg as the Marketing and Activities Director and Ed O'Toole as the Office Manager. With the two positions filled, Storm Lake United is now equipped to move forward with implementing creative strategies to promote business growth and tourism.
Berg, a Schaller native, recently graduated from South Dakota State University with a degree in Consumer Affairs. Berg's background consists of creating and implementing a marketing and recruitment campaign for Brookings County Youth Mentoring Program, grant writing and planning numerous events at South Dakota State University and in the Brookings Community.
Berg comments, "I am very excited to start working with Storm Lake United. I look forward to promoting Storm Lake and all it has to offer! I have some great ideas that I hope to implement in the near future to enhance Storm Lake even more.
O'Toole has worked as the Financial Assistant for the Storm Lake Chamber for the past six years. He seemed to be the perfect fit for SL United when hiring for the Office Manager position, say SL United staff and board members. In addition to his time spent working with the Chamber, Ed has a long standing accounting background with experience in payroll, personnel, inventories and has a wide array of other financial knowledge.
O'Toole remarks, "The idea of one board of directors with one vision and mission seems like a great idea. I look forward to serving the community and working with Storm Lake United."
Lalone, SL United Executive Director states, "After interviewing many candidates for each of the positions, we feel very confident in our decisions to hire Kelli Berg and Ed O'Toole. Kelli has a lot of experience managing multiple events and she also has some marketing experience. In addition, we are equally excited to have someone like Ed's caliber working for the organization. He has a lot of experience and we're delighted to have him on board."
