King opposes decision to abandon missile shield
Congressman Steve King continued to level criticism at the Obama Administration Thursday, reacting to the announcement of abandonment of federal plans to place a missile defense system in the Czech Republic and Poland.
"This announcement by the Obama Administration is another move straight out of the Neville Chamberlain foreign policy playbook. The Obama Administration appears intent on appeasing rogue dictators and threatening regimes, even at the expense of our allies," King said in a statement to the Pilot-Tribune. "This move, combined with cuts to our missile defense budget, indicates the Obama Administration's strategy is to appease Iran and Russia rather than stand up to tyranny and totalitarianism."
