Christensen running for Mayor

Long time Storm Lake resident Willard Christensen has joined the city election race, running for Mayor against incumbant candidate Jon Kruse.

"When you talk with higher up people their word should be worth something," he says of his reasoning to seek office.

Christensen and his wife, longtime teacher Florence have lived in Storm Lake for 50 years. "I've seen what's come and gone, some things I've liked, some things I don't like," he says. Christensen has owned Christensen Landscaping for 50 years. He and his wife have three children - Jay, Oskaloosa; Jeff, Birmingham, AL and Kody, Atlanta, GA. They have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
