St. Mary's designates Oct. 3 as 'Women's Day Out'

St. Mary's Parish has designated Saturday, Oct. 3 as "Women's Day Out" with two great events -- the From Our Hands Art and Craft Show and the "Gather Around My Table" Parade of Tables. Guests can plan to attend the art and craft show either before or after the Parade of Tables luncheon for a fun-filled Saturday.

The art and craft show opens at 8:30 a.m. in the St. Mary's High School gymnasium and runs until 3:30 p.m. Local and regional artists and crafters will showcase their work from candles to stationery, paintings, pottery, jewelry, woodwork and specialty foods. There is no admission charge for spectators, but there will be a concession stand selling snacks and beverages (no meal served).

The Parade of Tables will open the doors of the Knights of Columbus Hall at 11 a.m. to view the tables with the salad luncheon served at noon. The program speaker will be presenting at 1 p.m. and the quilt raffle drawing will follow. Tickets to the event will be $10 and will be sold by the individual table hostesses and St. Mary's Guild President Cathy Madson.

Proceeds from the art and craft show benefit St. Mary's Athletic Boosters.
