Earle S. Raun, age 84, of Lincoln, Neb. died on Monday, July 6, 2009. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 10, at the Roper and Sons Chapel, located at 4300 'O' Street in Lincoln, Neb., with Rev. Duncan Miller of Crestwood Christian Church officiating. There will be no visitation.

He was born on Aug. 28, 1924 in Sioux City, to Harold E. and Beatrice G. (Spangler) Raun. Earle was a Board Certified Entomologist, and a Certified Professional Crop Consultant - Independent.

Family members include wife: Georgia; daughters: Michele A. Womontree and Deb Skirvin, Rochester, Ill., Nancy L. Raun and Richard Doll, Denton, Neb., Patricia A. Raun and Alan Weinstein, Blacksburg, Va.; two grandchildren: Benjamin Earle and Zachary Scott; brother, sister-in-law: Alan R. and Dorothy Raun and family, Cumming; sister, brother-in-law: Constance E. Foss, Prescott, Ariz.; sister-in-law: Ruth Raun, Houston, TX; brother-in-law, spouse: Tom and Judy Hart and family, Milford. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Lyle; brother-in-law Rob Foss; sister-in-law and spouse Claire and Melvin Cunningham.
