Youth 11 years and older are eligible to attend the two day "Do I have what it takes to be YOUR babysitter?" clinic on June 24 and July 1. The clinic sponsored by ISU Extension-Buena Vista County will be held in the AEA meeting room at 824 Flindt Drive, according to Rhonda K. Christensen, County Extension Education Director. Clinic time will be 8:30 a.m. -- 3:30 p.m. both days. Registration is $20.00 per participant and is limited to 20 participants. Registration cost covers supplies and snacks for the two day series.

Christensen says during the two days of class, participants will discuss the responsibilities of babysitting, identify what it takes to be a capable, caring, trustworthy and responsible sitter. Also discussed will be skills and techniques needed for teens to become competent babysitters. Activities during the babysitting course will include information on safety, first aid and CPR, Child development, nutrition, entertaining children, and the business of babysitting.

Contact the ISU Extension Office in B.V. County at 732-5056 to register for the two day babysitter clinic. Registrations are due by June 23.
