Seating the guests were Chris Malloy, friend of the couple, Brian Kuck, brother-in-law of the groom, Derek Hubbard, cousin of the bride and Nathan Awieda, nephew of the groom. Derek Hubbard and Nathan Awieda were also the candelighters for the ceremony.

Pianist Bethany Ehlers, cousin of the bride; and organist Barb Bloom, friend of the couple, provided music for the ceremony. Soloist Karyn Bloom sang, "How Beautiful," by Twila Paris. Vocalists Ken and Debbie Ehlers sang, "If You Could See What I See," by Geoff Moore.

The bride, escorted down the aisle by her father, wore a full-length gown in candlelight, designed by Demetrios. The dress was sleeveless with a beaded band across the top and matching beaded spaghetti straps. The satin dress had a basque waistline with piping trim and a box pleated full skirt with a matching band around the hemline. The detachable train was also satin with a matching beaded border around the bottom. The bride wore a waterfall veil with a beaded comb and satin rolled edge. The bride carried a bundle of ivory roses, accented by purple status.

Alecia Peterson, friend of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Emily Ehlers, sister of the bride, Heidi Gilbreith, Betsey Saltzman and Michelle Glowacki, all friends of the bride. They wore silver two-piece dresses by Waters and Waters. The tops were sleeveless with scooped necklines and V-necked backs and the skirts were floor-length. They each carried a bouquet of purple lisianthus flowers, accented with ivory sweetheart roses. The flower girl was Chelsea Veverka, daughter of the groom. The bride's personal attendant was Emily Stevens, friend of the bride.

Chris Veverka, brother of the groom, was best man. The groomsmen were Joel Ehlers, brother of the bride, Dr. Brian Nichols, Jason Locke and Wayne Dingman, all friends of the groom. The ring bearer was Madison Ehlers, cousin of the bride.

Following the ceremony, a reception and dance was held at Village West Resort in Okjoboji. Ken and Jill DeYoung, friends of the couple, served as dining room host and hostess.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents at Crescent Beach Resort following the church rehearsal on Friday, Aug. 25.

The couple is making their home in San Diego, Calif., where the groom works as a computer programmer with RHI Consulting and the bride is a radiation therapist at a private clinic called Radiation Medical Group.
