Jesse Jeckell and Shawn Wiese were united in marriage on July 22, 2000 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Storm Lake. Pastor Steven Schulz officiated the 4 p.m. ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Tom and Bonnie Dunlop of Sioux City, Rick and Tammy Jeckell of Schaller and Eldon Wiese and Marlys Wiese of Storm Lake.
Jenny Wiese and Belinda Nieland, cousins of the groom were seated at the guest book.
Ushers were Chris Higgins, San Diego, Calif., friend of the couple, Jody Brechler, McKinney, Texas, cousin of the groom and Mike Wolter, Fort Madison, friend of the couple.
Brenda Koeppe served as organist and Rachel Ott and Javier Tuel were the soloists.
The bride wore a sleeveless ivory matte princess line gown with pearl beading and a chapel-length train. The scoop neckline was encrusted with pearls and sequins.
Linda Nee, friend of the couple from Early, served as the bride's maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Melanie Brau, friend of the couple from Early, Sara Cork, of Schaller, friend of the couple and Rachel Ott, Fairbank, friend of the couple. Jordyn Brechler, cousin of the groom from McAllen, Texas, was the flower girl. Tabitha Pottebaum of Sergeant Bluff and Heidi Throne, Storm Lake, both friends of the couple, served as the bride's personal attendants.
Eric Wiese served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Thad Jeckell, brother of the bride from Lompock, Calif., Brandon Ripke, cousin of the groom from Hartley and Bryan Ripke, Mt. Vernon, also a cousin of the groom. Daniel Jeckell, brother of the bride from Schaller, was the ringbearer.
Following the wedding, a reception was held at the Alta Community Center in Alta. Hosts and hostesses were Jeff and Michele Smith, aunt and uncle of the bride and Jack and Karla Vanderhoff, cousins of the groom.
Following a wedding trip to Las Vegas, Nev., the couple is at home in Lakeside.
