Tenth annual doll quilt contest to be held

Friday, October 20, 2000

Wouldn't you like to make Christmas a little nicer for some child? It's so simple. Just go to a store and purchase a doll, take it to The Quilt Shoppe in Alta, and the doll, along with a special quilt made just for that doll, will be in the arms of a child by Christmas.

This is the 10th year for the Doll Quilt Contest, and Pat Patten, the owner of The Quilt Shoppe, would like to make it the best yet. Last year 19 dolls and quilts were received and given to a local Christmas project.

Everyone is invited to participate. If you would like to buy a doll or make a doll quilt, contact The Quilt Shoppe, 284-2724. Prizes will be given to the quilts which receive the most Viewers' Choice votes. The dolls and quilts will be on display from Nov. 11 to Dec. 16.
