Storm Lake is blessed by Kiwanis sailing program
TO THE EDITOR:
Several of our church's youth, and adults present, were given the great good fortune of an evening of sailing sponsored by Storm Lake's Kiwanis Club this past week.
This letter is a public expression of our appreciation and notification of the service the local Kiwanis offer in sharing their sailing experiences, instructions and use of their watercraft.
Their respect for the novice sailor's wishes and abilities, their willingness to involve their guests in participatory learning, and their respect for our lake were very evident throughout the evening. Our community should be grateful, as we are, for the able servants helping us to better enjoy the water resources with which we've been blessed. Thanks again for an outstanding evening of sailing.

Disagrees with guest editorial
TO THE EDITOR:
I do not know this Stewart Goslinga [Pilot-Tribune guest editorial, July 10] but I noted he doesn't even live in Storm Lake, but seems to know all about us in the ten months at Lakeside.
If he would have been here in the '60s and '70s, he would have seen The City Beautiful. Channel Four has done a lot for us. Have him check out the East part of town.
Jim Wilson,
Storm Lake
