CEDAR RAPIDS - Tim Hanson finished fifth overall to help lead Buena Vista to the team title at the Coe College Invitational cross country meet on Saturday.
Buena Vista scored 38 points, edging Central by one point for the title.
Hanson posted a time of 27 minutes, 50 seconds. Ryan Moenck was right behind in sixth place with a time of 27:51.
Phillip Keys placed eighth with a time of 28:19, followed by Joe Ward in 10th with a time of 28:23. Brett Sealine placed 14th with a time of 29:18, Craig Zeise was 21st in 29:51 and A.J. Weineth was 32nd in 30:30.
The Buena Vista women's team finished seventh with 164 points. Grinnell College was the winner with 49 points.
Erin Hoffman placed 21st with a time of 20:58. Susan Brenteson was 30th in 21:26, Katie Berger 33rd in 21:35, Dana Mace 37th in 21:48, Kelly McClure 48th in 22:23 and Faye Delaney was 76th with a time of 24:15.
