Tuesday, October 17, 2000

The National Wild Turkey Federation, a non-profit conservation organization dedicated to the conservation of America's wild turkey and the preservation of the turkey hunting tradition, will hold an informational meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at Studebaker's Restaurant in Aurelia.

The purpose of the meeting is to organize a local NWTF chapter that will host a fund raising, membership banquet for the Buena Vista/Cherokee County area. Funds raised by this chapter will be utilized for wild turkey conservation projects throughout Iowa and the nation. Everyone with an interest in the conservation of the wild turkey is encouraged to attend. The meeting is open to the public at no cost.
