Funeral services for Earl F. Wright, 81, of Schaller, were held Monday, Oct. 9, at the Presbyterian Church in Schaller. Rev. Ken Fells officiated the 10:30 a.m. service.

Pallbearers were Trevor Wright, Brendt Wright, Cody Wright, Joe Dungan, Brad Wright and Jay Dungan. Honorary bearers were all of Mr. Wright's grand-nieces and nephews.

Burial was at Cook Center Cemetery in Schaller. Farber & Otteman Funeral Home of Schaller was in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Wright passed away on Friday, Oct. 6, at the Buena Vista Manor Care Center in Storm Lake.

Earl F., the son of Linus I. and Lillian I. (Hixon) Wright, was born Oct. 21, 1918 in Sac County. He attended and graduated from the Cook Center Country School in rural Schaller.

He farmed for many years and then became a school bus driver for the Schaller School, retiring on Oct. 1, 1983.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Schaller and the St. Elmo Masonic Lodge in Early.

Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his parents; step-father Charles McCoy and one brother Donald.

He is survived by a half-brother Forrest McCoy and his wife Karen of St. Cloud, Minn.; half-sister Jesse Weinkauf of Waterloo; several nieces and nephews and several grand-nieces and nephews.
