Funeral services for Elaine Stoyke Pyle, 75, were held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 9, at Sliefert Funeral Home in Storm Lake with Rev. Geneva R. Parsons officiating.
Pallbearers were David Hadden, Jim Bjorklund, Kenny Bonde, Bill Morrow, Ron Woolridge and Dale Martin. Burial was in Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery in Storm Lake. Sliefert Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Pyle passed away on Thursday, Oct. 5 in Sac City.
Elaine Phyllis was born Jan. 1, 1925, the daughter of Edgar P. and Mildred M. (Moll) Stangland in Alta. Her childhood days were spent in Alta and in 1939 the family moved to Storm Lake.
She graduated from high school in 1943 and then went to work as a telephone operator and homemaker.
She was united in marriage to Fred Stoyke in 1963. He passed away in 1977. In 1997 she married Paul Pyle.
Mrs. Pyle was baptized in the Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Storm Lake in 1941. She joined St. John's Lutheran Church in Storm Lake in 1963. Recently, she transferred her membership to the Newell Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband Paul Pyle of Newell; one sister Maxine Faber of Lakewood, Colo.; two nieces: Sue Grummer of Rockville, Md. and Jan Hart of Carrollton, Texas; other relatives and friends.
