Buchanan's Reform Party VP hopeful in SL

Friday, October 13, 2000

Details will be announced once Foster's schedule is set.

Foster, a black woman who has worked for 30 years as an educator in the harsh South-Central area of Los Angeles, is also the author of "What's Right for All Americans." A key message in her campaign has been to challenge conventional wisdom on race relations, in which she has called current black leaders "a band of snake oil salesmen." The liberal government and media have created a welfare state, Foster has said, while she intends to promote Bible-based values, the traditional family and a traditional interpretation of the Constitution.
