Join Living History Farms for a spirited Halloween celebration Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 19-21, and Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 26-28.
Volunteer help is needed each of the six evenings from 4:30 to 8:15 p.m. to give out free popcorn, assist visitors with the marshmallow roast, help people on and off the horse drawn wagons, hand out information in the visitor center and to guide our costumed visitors along the Halloween route.
Volunteers may bring their family to trick or treat at the Farms while they volunteer and will receive two complimentary passes to return during the 2001 general season. To volunteer, call Jan Milroy at 515-278-5286.
Living History Farms is open daily, May 1 through the third Sunday in October, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily. For a special events update, call 515-278-2400.
