Area students participate in ISU committees

Matt Anderson of Storm Lake and Lindsay Plagman of Aurelia have been named to committees for planning Family Weekend and Homecoming Week at Iowa State University in Ames.

Anderson has been appointed to Family Weekend, Oct. 6-8, which is organized by the ISU Student Leadership Council and sponsored by the ISU Alumni Association and the Iowa State University Parents Association (ISUPA). The weekend activities include college receptions, induction of former Parents and Families of the Year into the Family of the Year Society, pre-game tailgate and the ISU vs. Nebraska football game. The theme of Family Weekend 2000 is "Proud Past, Strong Future, Uniting Cyclone Families."

Plagman will be a committee member of Homecoming Week, scheduled for Oct. 14-21 and is organized by the Student Alumni Leadership Council and sponsored by the ISU Alumni Association.

Homecoming activities include displays, spirit competition, parade, pep rally, Habitat for Humanity Blitz Build, pre-game tailgate and the ISU vs. Texas A&M game and fall gala.

The theme for Homecoming Week 2000 is "Exploring Our 'Cyclone Family' Pride."
