LM-ACT clips Southeast Webster

BURNSIDE - Barry Hakes completed 20 of 27 passes for 300 yards and three touchdowns to help power LM-ACT to a 32-28 victory over Southeast Webster in a Class 1A district game last Friday night at Burnside.

Southeast Webster took a 14-0 lead on an 18-yard TD run by Wayne Allbee and a 1-yard plunge by Jon Christie before Hakes fired a 61-yard TD pass to Jason Brechler.

Southeast Webster went ahead 21-6 on a 1-yard run by Chuck Lundquist. The Raiders closed to within 21-12 just before halftime on a 5-yard TD pass from Hakes to Brechler.

LM-ACT scored two touchdowns in the second half on a 6-yard run by Hale Hawley and a 7-yard pass from Hakes to Jesse Schmidt.

Hawley rushed for 38 yards on eight carries to lead the Raiders' ground game. Derek Hoben had 35 yards on six carries. Jake Heuton caught seven passes for 127 yards and Brechller six for 123 yards. LM-ACT rushed for 57 yards and passed for 300 for 357 yards in total offense. Southeast Webster had 303 yards.

Dan Buske finished with 15 tackles, while Josh Wilkening and Jon Graff added 10 apiece. Mike Cox had nine.
