Joe and Shirley Kelley of Lakeside were recognized for their achievements as Shaklee Sales Leaders at the 2000 Shaklee Leadership Convention held in Pleasanton, Calif. Sept. 20 through Sept. 24. Regarded as one of the company's top-performing independent sales organizations, the Kelleys received an invitation to travel at Shaklee's expense to Miami Beach, Fla.
Robert Schults, President and CEO of the Shaklee Companies, was on hand to greet attendees and recognize their achievements. Schults stated, "Congratulations are in order for qualifying for this extraordinary convention. Your sales accomplishments over the past year clearly demonstrate how people can take charge of their lives by building successful home-based businesses."
Miami Beach is the home to the Fontainebleau Hilton Resort and Towers, the city's most renowned landmark hotel and the host of Shaklee's Convention. In addition to the Fontainebleau's 20 tropical acres of property, attendees had coral rock beaches and the Everglades close at hand for further exploration. The trip included a chance to take in Miami's scenery while participating in a walking tour benefiting Shakelee Cares, a nonprofit disaster relief organization that has helped people in Florida recover from several hurricane disasters.
The Kelley's also attended business workshops and learned about new products including CorEnergy, an herbal supplement formulated with cordyseps, ginseng and green tea. In addition to nutritional and herbal supplements, Shaklee's product lines include personal care and household products and home water treatment systems.
