On Sept. 19 at 3:55 p.m., an accident occurred in the gas pump area at Larson Oil Company, 1115 Lake Avenue. A 2000 International truck, owned by Larson Oil, 1115 Lake Avenue, Storm Lake, was parked at the east gas pump. A 1992 Chevy truck, driven by William Bagby, 44, Eagle Grove, was northbound in the lot, cut a corner too close, and struck the Larson Oil Company truck. Damage was estimated at $800 to the Larson Oil Company truck and none to the Bagby truck.
On Sept. 21 at 12:18 p.m., an accident occurred in the IBP livestock yard parking lot, 300 Flindt Drive. A 1992 Ford, driven by Linda Stauber, 59, Newell, was northbound in the parking lot. A 1991 Peterbuilt truck, driven by Anthony Rozenboom 55, Doon, was backing southbound and the vehicles collided. Damage was estimated at $100 to the Stauber vehicle and none to the Rosenboom tuck.
On Sept. 21 at 1:25 p.m., an accident occurred at the intersection of East 6th Street and Erie Street. A 1996 Buick, driven by Marjorie Miller, 72, 1818 West 5th Street, Storm Lake, struck a traffic control signal owned by the City of Storm Lake. Damage was estimated at $50 to the Miller vehicle and no damage to the traffic control signal.
On Sept. 7, Khongphet Khongsuphone, Wichita, Kan., reported the theft of a cell phone from 708 Vestal Street, Storm Lake. Value of the cell phone was estimated at $50.
On Sept. 21, Eric Ocegueda, 622 West 5th Street, Storm Lake, reported the theft of a Roadmaster bicycle from the yard of his residence. Value of the bicycle was estimated at $80.
