Congressman Tom Latham continues to lambaste the Clinton Administration for not implementing an energy policy to prevent price climbs for fuel from the pumps to the home. In a telephone conference call, Latham said recent talk of opening the nation's reserves carries "political ramifications."
Latham said the country has operated without an energy policy for seven years - something he considers frustrating.
"My frustration has been all along with (Energy Secretary Bill Richardson) and the administration...," Latham said. "Our policy is a matter of having a tin cup and going on our knees to OPEC countries and begging them to provide us more resources, more oil."
