Vial of Life proves success

Tuesday, September 19, 2000

Vial of Life is a program that could save your life! Vial of Life is a way of providing medical personnel with an individuals basic health record in the event of an emergency in the home.

The Buena Vista County Auxiliary made the "Vial of Life" its major project for the year 2000. The endeavor was kicked off in April of this year. There has been a great deal of enthusiasm and acceptance for the project. Presently, over 1,250 kits have been distributed in the first three months. An additional 750 "Vial of Life" kits are being put together in both English and Spanish.

The kits are free and are available at the emergency room at Buena Vista County Hospital, pharmacies, physician's clinics and senior citizen centers around the country.

Vial of Life is a simple, cost efficient and may be a life saving project that we can continue to support together.

If you have any questions regarding this project, please contact Grace Ivey, BVCH Auxiliary's health education coordinator at 732-4487.
