Cello Vaelli, owner of the Expedition Company, was just one of the many interesting people helping to promote wellness at the WELLNESS FAIR 2000.
Comm"UNITY" Education, Parent Link and Buena Vista University sponsored the event held at Buena Vista University on Wednesday.
The event focused on six dimensions: emotional, spiritual, physical, occupational, intellectual and social in which to promote a well-balanced life for individuals of all ages.
Vaelli, who runs the well-known Expedition Company shop in Okoboji, got people's attention early by demonstrating different ways to stay in shape whether it be during the summer or the winter months.
"It seems to me people's attitudes change when summer comes to a halt," Vaelli said. "I want to show people that there are a variety of different things for people to do all year round."
Vaelli informed those attending the fair about cycling, cross country skiing and other outdoor equipment.
He demonstrated how to turn a bicycle into a stationary bike, and how it helps him keep in shape during the summer and the winter months.
