STORM LAKE - Tim Brink finished 13th out of 73 runners overall to help the Storm Lake boys cross country team place ninth in Class AA at the Storm Lake Invitational Tuesday.
Orange City Unity Christian won the meet with 33 points. Storm Lake scored 231. Spencer was second with 81 points, followed by Denison-Schleswig with 83, Cherokee 132, Sheldon 138, LeMars 172, Spirit Lake 173, MOC-Floyd Valley 189, Storm Lake and Sioux City North with 296.
Brink posted a time of 18 minutes, 13 seconds. Dan Van Engen of Unity Christian was the overall winner with a time of 16:24.
Brandon Ebersole finished 42nd for the Tornadoes with a time of 19:27. Mike Solem was 53rd in 20:11, Adam Sievers 61st in 20:38, Chuck Stark 62nd in 20:45, Jeff Langner 63rd in 20:47 and Carlos Franco 64th in 20:49.
Brady North finished 20th in the junior varsity race with a time of 21:02.
"We can run better than we did, but it was good seeing two guys getting season bests and Tim getting another medal," Storm Lake coach John Brostad said. "
