Iowa Central Community College will host a course for Emergency Medical Services (EMS) First Responders in Operations and Planning for Weapons of Mass Destruction in Fort Dodge.
The course, offered free of charge, will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 24-27 in the Voc-Tech Building Room 101 on the ICCC Fort Dodge campus.
This course is designed to equip EMS personnel and medical professionals with the skills needed to ensure proper patient triage, treatment, and transportation in the event of exposure to Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) or biological, nuclear, incendiary, chemical, and explosive weapons. Exercises conducted in WMD scenarios will reinforce classroom lectures and interaction.
