Open house for new library, showroom at Fratzke and Jensen

Tuesday, May 27, 2003

Fratzke and Jensen Funeral Home is holding an open house at 300 Cayuga Street in Storm Lake on Saturday, June 7, from 2 to 4 p.m. The public is invited to tour the funeral home and view the new library area and showroom. Funeral home directors, J. Craig Fratzke, Nathan Jensen and Chris Toomer, along with representatives from York by Artco caskets, Wilbert Vaults and Homesteaders Life Company will be available during the open house to answer questions. Refreshments will be served.

The new library and showroom areas are the result of Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home's detailed attention to providing caring, compassionate, professional services to the community during the time of families' need.

The new library offers a range of inspirational and self-help authors covering such subjects as encouragement, grief support and grief management, coping with illness, suicide, losing a parent or child, plus many more helpful titles. All books are available to be checked out by the public, just as one would in any library. Everyone in the community is welcome and encouraged to use this service.

The new York Merchandising Systems (YMS) showroom features a unique display approach designed to provide a more compassionate selection process for families. Portions of 37 different types of caskets, and an underlying drawer system allows people to view a picture of each entire casket, as well as see and feel the material of the interior of each casket. Also in the new showroom are vaults, urns, urn vaults, the various lines of memorial products and a new video memorial display.

Fratzke and Jensen Funeral Home is proud to be one of the first funeral homes in northwest Iowa to offer a YMS showroom for our families. We hope everyone will take advantage of this opportunity to see our new showroom and library, and to meet our staff. We also welcome any questions and inquiries about our services,‰ noted Jensen.

The funeral home has a fully furnished, carpeted children's room complete with toys, plus a TV with DVD selections appropriate for a wide range of children's ages. Another feature available for our families' convenience is the coffee bar in the lower level.

Fratzke and Jensen Funeral Home is owned by J. Craig and Nancy Fratzke and Nathan A. and Nancy Jensen, and serves the communities of Storm Lake, Newell, Schaller and Galva. For more information on the open house or any of the services offered, call 712-732-1911.
