Books appear unexpectedly in new program

Thursday, May 8, 2003

If you find a copy of "Moby Dick" or "Harry Potter" - or any other book for that matter - on a park bench or in a coffeeshop, apparently forgotten there by its owner, remember: It might not have been... it could have been left there - just for you.

It's part of BookCrossing.com, a national program the Friends of the Storm Lake Public Library kicked off locally this week.

BookCrossing.com is all about "releasing books into the wild," says Library Director Susan Stone.

For more information about these books, get your copy of the Pilot Tribune - 732-3130.
