A woman has died in a fire that officials say was likely caused by lightning striking her northwest Iowa home.
Firefighters were called to the home, about two miles north of Arthur, early Sunday morning.
The woman's name wasn't immediately released because family members hadn't been notified, said Arthur Fire Chief Paul Rydberg.
Her body was found after the fire was extinguished.
An investigation Sunday by the state Fire Marshal's office showed that lightning probably caused the fire, Rydberg said.
The house, about 50 miles southeast of Sioux City, was destroyed.
