Beat the bully

When I was in grade school, the class bully determined to beat up on me every day for weeks. He and his friends would be waiting for me about a block away from the school.

No one seemed to care that the big guy beat up on the nearly defenseless.

As years went by, I noticed that there have been bullies all over this nation and nations of the world. In the 1900s the communists bullied about 100 million of their own citizens to death. Adolph Hitler killed millions of German citizens. The same is true of Tito, Mussolini and Saddam Hussein.

Free people have a responsibility to oppose oppressive bullies whatever their size or position.

If we do not help the little people of the world, if we do not participate in the removal of tyrants, I simply say, "May God have mercy on our uninvolved souls."

As a helpless kid, I wished someone would have taken up my fight...
