Needlecraft class to be offered
Learn to enjoy this easy needlecraft and make pretty practical items for friends and family.
Amber Joplin will be offering "Getting Hooked on Crochet" on 3 Tuesdays, April 15, 22, and 29, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the High School Media Center. The first session will focus on how to select a crochet hook, yarn and a project. You'll learn how to hold the crochet hook, work the basic stitches and make a granny square. The second session will focus on reviewing instructions and learning additional stitches required for the personal projects you've selected. The third session will include finishing techniques and a show and tell of your personal projects. You will need to bring a medium size (f-g) crochet hook to class the first night. Other supplies will be determined at the first meeting. A registration fee of $15 (plus supplies) needs to be paid by Friday, April 11, to CommUNITY Education at Post Office Box 638, Storm Lake.
Beginning Internet course set
Instructor Patrick Utz, will take you step-by-step into the amazing world of the Internet. Beginning Internet will meet on 2 Wednesday nights, April 16, and 23, from 6:30-8pm at the High School Room 60. You will walk out of this class with a smile knowing you have the tools to "surf the net" with the best of them. A registration fee of $15 needs to be paid by Friday, April 11, to CommUNITY Education at Post Office Box 638, Storm Lake.

Faux painting course to be offered in SL
Instructor Nancy Miller will present Faux Painting on Tuesday, April 8, from 7-9 p.m. at the High School Art Room. In this class you will learn the basics; distressing, dry brushing, etc. plus Nancy will demonstrate some new techniques. Wear your paint clothes, as this is a hands-on class! Class size is limited to 10 participants. Registration fee of $10 (plus a $7 supply fee to be paid to the instructor) needs to be paid by Friday, April 4, to CommUNITY Education at Post Office Box 638, Storm Lake.
