A snowmobile dragster revs up to leave the line in the Blizzard Busters Sno Drags, part of the first Thunder on Ice winter festival in Storm Lake Saturday and Sunday. Crowds saw snow machines hit up to 92 miles per hour. Meanwhile, several local hot air balloon pilots offered a rare winter ascension over the lake on Sunday morning. Although weather hurt some of the events, planning is already underway for another round of Thunder next winter. Plus a polar bear club member dives in while the crowd looks on.
