AmeriHost Inn to host Citizen's Academy

Tuesday, February 4, 2003

The Storm Lake Police Department is pleased to announce that AmeriHost Inn is once again an underwriter of the Citizen's Academy, which will be held beginning in late February.

AmeriHost Inn is donating $500 towards the Academy to pay for supplies, which are used during the course.

Public Safety Director Mark Prosser says, "We are very happy that AmeriHost Inn, specifically Sharon Eddy and her staff, continue to believe in the Academy Program and support us financially. If it were not for their generous contribution the program would not occur."

The Police Department further reports that this year's Academy Class is full. If you would like to submit an application and be put on a waiting list for next year don't hesitate to stop in the Police Station or call the Police Station at 732-8010. For more information on the Citizen's Academy please contact Captain Todd Erskine at 732-8010.
