Short-handed police battle rise in crimes

Tuesday, January 28, 2003

Storm Lake radio station KKIA "The Moose" 92.9 FM has moved its operations into the Lake Avenue building owned by KAYL Broadcasting as a result of a new operating agreement between Waitt Radio and KKIA's new owners, Jim Dandy Broadcasting.

Waitt Radio is managing KKIA for Jim Dandy, which purchased KKIA and Spencer-based KDWD "Hot 100" FM last month from Eisert Communications for $2.5 million. The situation is similar to an apartment manager taking care of operations for an owner who lives in a different location.
