Nelda Jane Robinson died on November 10, at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake after a brief illness.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday November 16, in the Schaller Cemetery under the direction of the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Schaller. There will be no visitation.
Nelda Jane Spencer was born on October 2, 1926 the daughter of Arthur and Bertha (Warriner) Spencer in Schaller. She graduated from Schaller in 1943, remaining in the community until 1985, when she moved to Spirit Lake.
On October 23, 1943 Nelda was married to Charles H. Robinson in West Bend.
Nelda was a life-long member of the Schaller Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed playing many musical instruments such as the piano, organ and marimba, she also taught piano to many students over the years. She had a love for nature watching, gardening, reading and doing crossword puzzles. However, her greatest love was her family, most especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Richard Robinson and his wife Peg of Jacksonville, Fla, Susan Diersen and her husband Philip of Schaller, Janene Garcia and her husband William of Round Lake, Minn., and Judy Robinson of Oregon, Ill. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Shelly Fenner and her husband Jason, Tres Diersen, Jennifer Robinson, Spencer Robinson, Clint Fales, Chanda Snow and her husband Jason, Charles Fales, Kelly Torres and her husband Chris and Krystal Kast; great grandchildren: Logan Fales, Dalton and Tanner Snow and Jennifer Torres. She is also survived by her brother LeClair Spencer and her sister Lorna Stodden both of Sioux City and many other relatives and friends.
Preceding Nelda in death were her parents, her husband and a dear friend Robert Mullinix.
