SL High School debutes rousing musical

Thursday, November 14, 2002

Storm Lake High School students debuted their rousing fall musical last night, complete with a cowboy-style dance number, a humorous scene with Joe Keil as a reluctant suitor, a love scene with Heidi Germann and Jeff Mason, and a spirited chorus including Rachael Hustadt and Joni Sievers.

'Oklahoma,' which features all-time favorite songs such as "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning," "Surrey With the Fringe on Top," "Kansas City," "I Cain't Say No" and "People Will Say We're in Love," will continue Friday and Saturday night at South School Auditorium, with shows at 7:30 p.m. each night. The cast features 70 actors, singers and dancers, a 17-piece orchestra and colorful sets. Bruce Kurtz directs this must-see show, with musical direction by Jeff Tollefson, Frank Hoskins and Carol Peterson.
