Combine fully engulfed

A tractor helps dig a trench around spreading flames as firefighters work to extinguish a field fire that started after a combine southeast of Rembrandt caught fire. The Rembrandt Fire Department was dispatched at about 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Firefighters found a combine fully engulfed in flames in a corn field, said Chief Dennis Anderson. The combine is considered a total loss, while there was some damage done to corn in the field. Anderson said that an electrical problem apparently caused the combine to catch fire. The Albert City Fire Department assisted, and firefighters were on the scene for about an hour and a half. No injuries were reported.
