Andi Schons of Storm Lake and Marshall Holifield, Sheridan, Wyo., were united in marriage Friday, June 21, 2002, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Storm Lake. Parents of the couple are Tony and Barb Schons, Storm Lake, and Holly and Sharon Holifield of Sheridan, Wyo. Fr. Robert Schimmer officiated.

Maid of honor was Callie Schons, Storm Lake, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids, all friends of the couple, included Amy Skibsted, Eden Prairie, Minn., Emily Krovance, Rochester, Minn., Becky Jansen, Kansas City, Mo., and Allison Whitt, Alexandria, Va.

Best man was Shawn Oakes, Scottsbluff, Neb., friend of the groom. Groomsmen, all friends of the couple, included Matt Klinger, Alexandria, Va., Mike Deeds, Rochester, Minn., and YuChing Chiang, Mexandria, Va. Flower girl was Emily Ivey, friend of the bride, and junior groomsmen were Michael Ivey and Bobby Ivey, both friends of the bride. Ushers were Tony Schons and Holly Holifield, Jesse Zens, Minnetonka, Minn., cousin of the bride, and Matt Klinger. Music for the ceremony was provided by organist Jeanette Hinkeldey, pianist Candy Clough, and Holli Safley on trumpet. Vocalists were Liz Andrews, Jennifer Lickteig, Nick Skibsted, Dan Buckingham, Rory Fulcher and Chad Hotovec, all students from Storm Lake High School under the direction of Jeff Tollefson. Shawn Oakes was the soloist during the lighting of the unity candle.

The colors chosen for the wedding were navy blue and sliver. The flowers for the wedding and the decorations for the reception were designed by Peach Blossom. A dinner and dance were held immediately following at the Alta Community Center. Host couples for the reception were Dave and Connie Skibsted and Dick and Kerry Altringer, both of Storm Lake and friends of the couple.

The bride and groom make their home in Omaha, Neb., where Andi is employed as a nurse at Children's Hospital and is currently in graduate school at Creighton University pursuing her master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Marshall is in his second year of medical school at Creighton University.
