God Bless America

September 11

on that day of remorse,

I was in 2nd hour math

doing homework, of course

The TV turned on,

all eyes painfully glued,

around the class

was a haunting, dark mood.

Some kids were crying

with tears in their eyes,

a demonic act of terrorists

America will forever despise.

The rest of the day

in our world gone mad,

our heads hung down -

some angry, all sad.

But I tell you, my friends,

the only thing they did,

was make us more patriotic

every man, woman and kid.

I know the people

in those towers that day,

are at the right hand of God.

American heroes I say.
